Is tooth extraction painful?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so the patient should not feel pain during the intervention. The specific approach is determined individually, according to the condition of the tooth and of the patient.
When is a wisdom tooth extracted?
Extraction of a wisdom tooth may become necessary in cases of incorrect position, incomplete eruption, inflammation, pain or pressure on the adjacent teeth. The final decision is made on the basis of a consultation with the dentist and of diagnostics.
What does root-end resection involve?
Apicoectomy is a procedure during which the tip of a damaged tooth root is removed. It is used in cases where conventional treatment of the tooth cannot fully eliminate the problem.
What is a sinus lift and when is it needed?
A sinus lift is a procedure aimed at increasing the bone volume in the posterior part of the upper jaw in order to create the conditions required for implantation. Both open and closed sinus lift procedures are available at the clinic.
